Downtown Marquette’s Restaurant Week: The Vierling

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ)- It’s restaurant week in Marquette. All week downtown favorites will be running specials, and WZMQ will be highlighting a new restaurant each right. The Vierling Restaurant & Marquette Harbor Brewery will be featuring a different lunch special each day.

On Front Street in downtown Marquette, The Vierling is a popular choice for their superior white fish.
Terry Doyle is the owner and manager of The Vierling, he says that with their restaurant week menu, they wanted to stick to what they’re good at and showcase the best they have to offer.

“I’d say all of it’s really quite good, the black bean burger is really quite good, the blackened burger is quite good as well,” Doyle Said, “but probably the whitefish BLT would be my favorite.”

On top of their specials, The Vierling will be hosting a raffle all week long. When you eat at The Vierling this week, you can enter your name to win a t-shirt, a pint glass, and pizza and drinks for two. A new name will be drawn each night to win.

Doyle says restaurant week is a good chance for Marquette locals to go out to eat for a night, but that he hopes Yoopers might travel from outside the area to try some of the restaurant week specials as well.

Those daily lunch specials run from 11 am until 4:30 pm, for dinner The Vierling has a $30 dinner special that includes their artisan style pizzas, two side salads, and two pints of Vierling beer.

“You can pop around all these different restaurants” Doyle said, “You can come in here and just have one of our 10 handcrafted beers if you like and then move on to a different restaurant and have a cocktail or an appetizer there and come back and have dinner.”
