There’s a new pottery class taking place in the masonic mall, hot plate clay works has started its first 6-week wheel throwing class for all skill levels.
ClayWorks 6-week sessions will allow participants to build their skills and create works from start to finish. Instructors will be teaching everything from wedging the clay to firing and glazing.
The owner of hotplate clay works, Melissa Sprouse, says it’s a great opportunity to learn a new skill in a judgment-free zone. “We really want to encourage people to leave their perfectionism behind and just embrace the perfect imperfectness of working with clay”
