For the last few weeks a group of local residents here in Marquette have been taking advantage of the warm weather we have, even at night.
The group comprised of NMU students and young adults from the area have been lighting up the volleyball court at Mccartys Cove using LED light strips and glow sticks. They combine the lights with a glow in the dark volleyball and have been able to play volleyball late into the night.
According to Jesse Vogg, one of the organizers, The group is just having fun and enjoying the nice weather while they can.
The beaches are open till 11pm and according to the Marquette Police Department the group has been extremely respectful and courteous of the area and will be allowed to continue playing for as long as they want.
