4th of July Fire Safety

The 4th of July is coming up this weekend. Folks have the Parade coming up to look forward to as well as the “4th of July Fireworks” show happening. As fun as they can be, bottle rockets, sparklers, and other fireworks need to be taken seriously when handled.

“Some of the things to keep in mind are that fireworks are permissible in the city limits from June 29th to July 5th from the hours of 11 am to 11:45 pm and that’s just to keep the noise ordinance in check and make sure we’re not disturbing our neighbors.” Said Brandon Morey, who is a new hire with the Fire Department. He shared information with us regarding this upcoming holiday and things that the community should be aware of.
