The Dobbs v. Jackson Womens Health Organization Supreme court decision which reverced the Roe v. Wade decision from the 1970’s was officially released Friday morning. Protests here in Marquette were organized almost immediately in response to the decision to reverse almost 50 years under Roe v. Wade.

Roe vs Wade is a Supreme Court case decided on in 1973, this new ruling overturns the previous precedent which protected a pregnant persons right to an abortion within the first trimester.

Protests began Friday night on the corner of Washington and 3rd street and continued over the weekend. People off all ages, local leaders, students, and families, came out to make their voices heard.
