Juneteenth is a federal holiday celebrating the emancipation of enslaved people in 1865. Marquette celebrated the holiday this weekend with a celebration organized by the nonprofit grout Social Justice for Us.
The main stage lineup featured live music, dancers, and speakers, and vendors were set up around the arena. This is Social Justice for us’ 3rd-year hosting celebrations in Marquette.
