ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – Escanaba Public Safety and other Delta County agencies responded to a fire at a historic Downtown Escanaba business on Friday.
Around 11 a.m., crews were dispatched to the House of Ludington. A WZMQ 19 reporter on the scene shortly after saw heavy smoke coming from the windows on the top floor of the building. Flames could later be seen coming through the windows.
Due to utility disruptions, nearby residents may be experiencing temporary power fluctuations or outages. Some households may experience temporarily discolored water as systems stabilize. Residents are advised to run their water until it clears.
As of 1:00 p.m., agencies were still at the scene. WZMQ 19 is working to obtain more information on the fire and will provide an update when official details become available.
