MANISTIQUE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Barr Team, LLC has received a $9,920 Elevate Small Business grant through Limestone Financial Credit Union (FCU) and the Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLBank) of Indianapolis to support property improvements.

Real estate team Barr Team, LLC strives to provide timely and accurate information and solutions that enable clients to achieve their dreams and goals. With funds from the FHLBank Indianapolis’ Elevate Small Business grant, Barr Team, LLC plans to complete a series of property upgrades, including electrical enhancements, interior remodeling, and general improvements to create a more functional and updated space.

“We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to make some vital improvements to our building through the Elevate Grant, which LFCU has facilitated for us,” said Barr Team realtor Julie Barr. “Protecting this asset is important to us, as is providing both our clients and team members with a safe and welcoming atmosphere. We take pride in being part of the downtown business district and hope our collective investment moves the needle for all of us in a positive way. Thank you, LFCU, for partnering with us, and for always supporting our business and personal financial needs!”

Elevate Small Business grants are awarded annually by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis through its member financial institutions. Member institutions apply for the grant on behalf of their small business customers, and eligible applications are awarded up to $20,000 to support the growth and development of small businesses headquartered in Indiana and Michigan. Eligible businesses must have been in continuous operation for at least one year and earn less than $1M in annual gross revenue.

“At Limestone FCU, we believe that when small businesses succeed, our entire community thrives,” said Limestone FCU CEO Jennifer C. Watson. “We’re excited to see Barr Team, LLC take this next step in enhancing their business, and we’re grateful to partner with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis to make opportunities like this possible.”
