HOUGHTON COUNTY, Mich. (WZMQ) – A Houghton County man was arrested on May 6th, 2025, after a several-month investigation by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET).
UPSET detectives, along with Troopers from the Michigan State Police Calumet Post and deputies from the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at a Calumet Township residence where a 25-year-old suspect was arrested on charges relating to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Methamphetamine, paraphernalia, cellular phones, and evidence of distribution were seized from the residence. The suspect was lodged at the Houghton County Jail and is pending arraignment in the 97th District Court. UPSET and the Houghton County Prosecutor’s Office are working collaboratively on a larger investigation involving multiple people distributing illegal drugs in the area.
