MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Chicago Beefs after opening last July will be leaving the masonic permanently at the end of March.
According to the owner Mike Glenn they have been having trouble keeping up with rent and paying back their investors, and their biggest problem is visibility and street access from the masonic.
But even though this is the end of that location, Glenn said this isn’t the end of Chicago Beefs in Marquette.
“Even being in a less than ideal location I still served thousands of people here and put a lot smiles on people’s faces and it’s a viable market, I mean this is a foody city,” said Glenn. “I’d be a fool not to take advantage of that.”
Glenn said he hopes to open a new location on Third Street sometime in the next few years.
