ISHPEMING, Mich. (WZMQ) – Although the vegetable growing season is still a few months away, Partridge Creek Farm in Ishpeming is currently accepting memberships for their CSA program.
Community Supported Agriculture is a subscription based program that allows farms to give back to supporting communities with weekly care packages of freshly and locally grown vegetables. Since 2013, Partridge Creek Farm has been providing access, education and connections for the local communities with their equitably produced, nutritious foods. The CSA program has been ongoing since 2022, and continues to expand each year.
“Each year we’ve ran, we add 10 membership slots,” said Sara Johnson, executive director of Partridge Creek Farm, “our first year we had 10, and this year we have 40 membership slots.” The program starts at $350 for a full season of boxes. The farm also accepts EBT and SNAP benefit cards at a 75% discount for lower income households.
