MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – We checked in with Representative Jenn Hill (D- Marquette) this morning as she cast her vote at city hall in Marquette.
Hill said she’s excited to have the chance to vote for a woman at the top of the ticket this year and is optimistic about her chances.
For her own race, she said she’s spent every day before Election Day knocking on doors and phone banking. In talking with constituents, Hill said she feels good about her campaign and her chance at reelection.
Hill said she is spending her election day writing thank-you notes to those who have helped her along the way.
“I’m feeling really excited about today’s election,” Hill said. “The early voting and absentee voting was off the charts, so many folks took advantage of that. Here we are today, the very last day to put your voice in for our democracy.”
WZMQ will be live at Jenn Hill and Karl Bohnak’s election parties tonight at 6 & 11 p.m. EST as a part of Election Day coverage.
