Negaunee continues Wednesday Night Farmers Market on Iron Ore Heritage Trail

NEGAUNEE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Negaunee had their 5th Wednesday Night Market on Wednesday at an alternative location.

Due to the construction on Main Street, the market was down on the Iron Ore Heritage Trail across from the Senior Center.

Most vendors sold a selection of local produce like fruits and vegetables, fresh baked bread, jam, and herbs, but there were also a couple with woodcarvings and jewelry.

Lisa Cory, the market’s organizer, said the market is a great place to get a taste of Negaunee’s produce and community.

“Negaunee’s a friendly town and a good community,” said Cory. “People who visit know this is a spot they can come, get some good local items, take a souvenir back, and see a friend or two they haven’t seen in a while.”

The Negaunee Farmers Market will continue on Wednesday nights through September from 4 p.m. to 7p.m.
