MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Downtown Marquette Farmers Market wrapped up its summer Wednesday night series tonight, closing out months of live music, local vendors, fresh produce, and community gathering on the 100 block of West Washington Street.
Among the regulars this season was Mike Shelafoe, owner of Black Moon Clay, selling handcrafted pottery, jewelry, and miniatures at the Wednesday market this summer. “The nice thing about Wednesdays is that they’re very chill. We’ve got live music, it’s spread out throughout downtown,” says Shelafoe. “It’s been a really great event, Marquette is a really special place and it’s a small town, everyone’s really supportive of the arts and it affords us the ability to be full time artists.”
