Kevin Hodge joined the WZMQ 19 News team in June 2024.
Prior to his arrival, he served as the news director and 6 p.m. anchor for WBKB-TV in Alpena, Michigan. Before that, he served as a reporter for 9&10 News in Petoskey, covering stories spanning 11 counties in the northern part of the state including the upper peninsula. He started his career in 2019 with WBKB-TV as a reporter and has come a long way when it comes to journalism experience.
Born and raised in Muskegon, Kevin has lived in Michigan his whole life. In fact, he’s made it his goal to remain in our beautiful state for the rest of his life. However, this is the first time he has lived in the U.P. As someone who has a deep respect and appreciation for nature, Kevin was ecstatic to move into the area.
Kevin is an avid angler who enjoys taking his kayak out on the river along with his fishing pole. He plans to continue fishing for the big ones, hoping to acquire a master angler patch from the DNR one day.
