MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Members of the Marquette community gathered to listen to music from all over. Third Street was filled with folk music, jazz, acoustic, and more.
Music on Third is a live music event where community members can enjoy music and check out the area. Located on Third Street in Marquette, this event goes from the corner of Ohio Street to West Arch Street.
This year, Third Street was blocked from 6 to 8 p.m. allowing the public to freely and safely walk around. The musicians performing Thursday night say the community that shows up for this event is what makes it enjoyable to participate in.
“People stop and listen. We perform around town, but it’s people who might not normally get to see us, you know what I mean?” said Ryan Dart of Generations Jazz.
