IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WZMQ) – Downtown Iron Mountain is set to launch its first Out-to-Lunch event of the summer season tomorrow, featuring live performances by local bands. The weekly event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Central Time, promises to be a vibrant gathering spot for the community throughout the summer.
Each Thursday, guests can enjoy live music and indulge in delicious offerings from local food vendors, including Crispigna’s Italian Market and Cousin Mike’s Hot Dogs and Catering. This Thursday’s kickoff event will showcase the folk duo, Flagship Romance.
“Out to lunch is every Thursday at 11:45 – 1:15 located at the Systems Control Stage,” shared Aaliyah Melbrath, downtown Iron Mountain’s new summer intern coordinating the event.
The Systems Control Stage serves as the primary venue, but in the event of rain, the festivities will move indoors to the Braumart Theatre. Organizers encourage attendees to bring their own lawn chairs and umbrellas for comfort.
“Out to lunch of course, it’s a free concert series during the middle of the day, and then we want to make sure that the guests do bring a lawn chair because we do not provide chairs. And then if they want to bring an umbrella because it’s super sunny, they can do that too, and we have a couple that we can donate out as well,” Kenzie Williamsen, downtown Iron Mountain’s Event Coordinator, emphasized.
Note that there will be no Out-to-Lunch event during the week of July 4th.
