MARQUETTE, Mich, (WZMQ) – Mediabrew Communications is partnering with Super One Foods for their annual “Christmas is for Veterans” program.
This program in its 21st year brings often overlooked items to the Veterans at the D.J. Jacobetti Home.
Mediabrew Communications Market Manager Mark Evans said great gift options include things like lotions, watches, calendars, batteries, and high-quality disposable razors.
“The kinds of items that a niece or nephew in town would just go get for you,” said Evans, “lots of veterans don’t have local people to do that so that’s why we look for items like that.”
People in Marquette are invited to buy small items during their holiday shopping and drop them off at the Mediabrew office, or at Super One in Marquette or Negaunee.
According to Evans, this is a great way to give back to our veterans.
These are people that served our country,” said Evans, “most every one of us knows a veteran, someone that’s served either in conflict or in peace time and this is just a small way of saying thank you, we’re thinking of you, and if nothing else happy holidays.
Gifts must be turned in by Tuesday December 19th.
