IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WZMQ) – Iron Mountain Police Department reminds residents of the city’s winter parking ban. The ban took effect Nov 1st, but officers will not begin ticketing until the first snowfall, or icy roads that require plowing or salting of the streets. The ban remains in effect until March 31st.
This means residents should pay attention to road conditions, watch weather forecasts, and refrain from parking on city streets, alleys, and city-owned parking lots between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. CST.
