GWINN, Mich. (WZMQ) – Marquette Local Animal Shelter UPAWS is looking to find forever homes with a Meow-Loween event this weekend.
UPAWS is offering cat adoptions for $13 on Friday and Saturday of this week from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. All cats 6 months and up are available for adoption which will include spay/neuter, vaccines, and a microchip.
No appointment is necessary for cat meets, although, within the last week, UPAWS has housed almost 40 new cats in the shelter and hopes to find them forever homes soon. “We have cats that are teenagers like this one here kind of more playful thought this one seems like a little sleepy one right now or you can get those big lazy older couch potatoes which I love,” commented UPAWS Outreach Coordinator Ann Brownell.
“If you’ve never had a cat give it a try I’m gonna tell you 20 years ago I thought I’m not having a cat no way…man I can’t even imagine living without my cats, winter’s coming people are starting to hibernate, think about getting yourself a furry friend,” continued Brownell.
