ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – Bay College’s Lunchtime LIVE! music series has returned for the summer.
Lunchtime LIVE! takes place on select Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Artists from throughout Delta County play music in the campus courtyard, which features art pieces and native plants.
Lunchtime LIVE! is open to the public. Communications and Events Coordinator Jessica Beaver says everyone is encouraged to attend and be part of the Bay College community.
“We have beautiful facility spaces on campus that are kind of hidden,” said Beaver. “We’re a community college, so we want people to come and use our space, like use our library, come have lunch in our courtyard. We’re an open campus and we’re here for you.”
Wiles Food Services offers its Taco Kitchen menu in Parking Lot E every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Owner Matt Wiles sasys in his third year supplying food for Lunchtime LIVE!, he says the truck’s customer base continues to get stronger.
“I love it here,” Wiles said. “There’s a great community here. It’s a caterer’s dream.”
Bay College will host its next Lunchtime LIVE! on July 25, featuring Failte’. Reflections will perform on August 8, followed by Wingin’ It on August 22. The artist for August 29 has yet to be announced.
