GWINN, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Forsyth Township Public Library threw a successful bubble party Tuesday, July 11th to celebrate their 50th anniversary, and promote their summer reading program.
The Forsyth Public Library received a $1,500 grant from the Community Fund of Marquette County & the Gwinn Area Community Fund. After receiving this grant, the library decided to have a bubble party, to get kids out of the house and celebrating the library.
“We’re just having a great time,” says Leslie Makela, the Forsyth Township Public Library Director. “We’ve had an amazing response to our summer reading program this year. We’re having a lot of fun and we’re so glad that we can be here for everyone to have a day that’s totally free to them, and they can just come and have a good time.”
The library laid out activities including painting with bubbles, making bubble snakes, giant bubble wands, and a bubble machine. Peter Nordeen Park was packed with library supporters all there to enjoy the bubble related activities waiting for them.
