ISHPEMING, Mich. (WZMQ) – Two men who were living together in the City of Ishpeming have been arrested for charges in relation to child sexually abusive material.
According to Ishpeming Police Department Chief Chad Radabaugh, the two arrests are the result of an investigation that started in August 2022. When the Ishpeming Police first made contact with the roommates on August 1st, they seized their phones.
The Michigan State Police Computer Crimes Unit assisted with the investigation and recovering documents from the seized phones.
Gerald Russell Jenkinson, 54, was arrested on April 14th. He being charged with two counts of child abusive commercial activity-distributing or promoting, as well as eight counts of child sexually abusive material-possession.
Jenkinson’s was arraigned on April 17th, and his bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety. He is due back in court on April 27th for a probable cause hearing.
Kenneth Charles Rider, 60, was arrested on April 17th. He is being charged with seven counts of child sexually abusive material-possession. He was arraigned on April 18th in 96th District Court.
Rider’s bond was set at $7,000, and is due in court for a probable cause hearing on May 4th.
