The need at Marquette’s St Vincent De Paul food pantry and its financial assistance program is on the rise.
Staff there say they usually average about 200 people per month… But they’ve already surpassed 300 for this month.
Those in need may register for financial assistance in the financial aid office located right next door to the pantry.
Bob Barton, chairperson for the food pantry committee, “Just know that we are here to help and if you find yourself in need of having trouble, getting a cut off notice on your utilities, an eviction notice on your rent, come in and talk to us and we will see what we can do to help you.”
Marquette’s St Vincent’s food pantry is open year-round on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 1 – 4 pm and also on the 1st Thursday of the month from 6 – 7:30 pm.
