Menominee County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the community’s help to track down the armed suspect who robbed a store in Spalding.

A man went into the Family Dollar and demanded money and cigarettes Feb. 23 around 9:45 p.m. EST, the sheriff’s office said.

He was reportedly dressed in all black, wearing gloves and pink women’s sunglasses and carrying a black drawstring backpack.

He left on foot with money from the cash register and 30 cartons of cigarettes, which mainly consisted of Marlboro red 100s, Newport reds and Newport Menthol, according to the sheriff’s office.

Law enforcement believes the suspect may be a detoxing drug addict.

Anyone with information on the suspect or incident is asked to call the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office at 906-863-4441. Anonymous information can be shared with Marinette/Menominee Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-427-5857 or going online here.
