Huskies have three players on the Coaches’ Preseason All-CCHA Team

MARQUETTE, Mich. — The 2026/2027 Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) has announced its coaches preseason poll for the upcoming season.

Michigan Tech earned 65 points and four first-place votes by the coaches. Bowling Green was second with 62 points and a pair of first-place nods. Minnesota State also had a pair of votes to finish first and accumulated 59 points. Augustana (57), Bemidji State (46), Lake Superior State (41), Ferris State (33), and Northern Michigan (29) rounded out the coaches’ poll.

In the media poll, Michigan Tech accumulated 116 points and four first-place votes. Minnesota State had six first-place votes and 113 points. Augustana (107) and Bowling Green (101) were also in the top four and received nods for first place. Bemidji State (76), Lake Superior State (64), Ferris State (56), and Northern Michigan (43) rounded out the poll.

Max Koskipirtti was named to the All-CCHA Second Team during his junior season after he skated in all 39 games and tallied a career-best 35 points on 13 goals and 22 assists. He attended the 2026 Dallas Stars NHL Development Camp for the second year in a row in the offseason. Koskipirtti had 26 points in CCHA action last season, ranking sixth in the conference. He also ranked 11th in the nation in faceoff wins and 16th nationally with four game-winning goals.

Isaac Gordon skated in 38-of-39 games and tallied 29 points with eight goals and 21 assists. He went on a nine-game point streak from Jan. 3-31 with three goals and seven assists over the span and had a point in 13 of the final 16 games. Gordon was named the 2023 CCHA Rookie of the Year and to the 2023 CCHA All-Rookie Team.

Owen Bartoszkiewicz started 38-of-39 games in his first season with Tech last year, going 23-12-3 with a 2.52 goals-against average and .913 save percentage. He ranked fourth in the nation in games played, fourth in wins, and fifth in saves (978). Bartoszkiewicz was named the CCHA Goaltender of the Week five times and earned shutouts at St. Lawrence (Nov. 1) and against Alaska Anchorage (Jan. 3).

The CCHA officially drops the puck on year five of the reconfigured league on Friday, October 3. Eight of the CCHA’s nine teams will be in action on opening weekend, with Minnesota State getting its season underway on October 10.

Fans can stream all CCHA games live and on-demand, on their home televisions, computers, tablets, and mobile devices via Midco Sports Plus. The app is available on mobile/tablet apps (iOS and Android), connected TV device apps (AppleTV, FireTV, and Roku), and a web-based browser interface.
