HARRIS, Mich. (WZMQ) – Bark River-Harris Schools has announced the continuation of its partnership with TEAM Wireless and the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office to ensure a full-time School Resource Officer (SRO) remains on campus for the upcoming school year.
Through the ongoing generosity of TEAM Wireless CEO Brian Boucher, the work of Menominee County Sheriff Darrin Kudwa, and school-secured grant funding, the financial support for the SRO position has been successfully secured. With this year’s contribution, Boucher and TEAM Wireless have now donated more than $350,000 in total to support safety initiatives and the SRO program at Bark River-Harris Schools.
“Ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of our students and staff is our highest priority,” said School Board President Mark Erickson. “This collaborative effort demonstrates what can be achieved when local business leaders, law enforcement, and educators unite for our community. We are deeply grateful to Brian Boucher, TEAM Wireless, and Sheriff Kudwa for their unwavering commitment to our school family.”
The full-time SRO position provides active security and emergency preparedness on campus while also fostering positive relationships between law enforcement, students, and the broader school community.
