ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – Friday evening, police responded to an apparent vehicle fire in Escanaba.
Around 9:30 p.m., a loud boom was heard throughout the city. Shortly afterward, Escanaba Public Safety and the Delta County Sheriff’s Office arrived at First Avenue South near South Second Street, where a vehicle was on fire.
Crews began clearing the scene at roughly 10:40 p.m. Personnel on scene could not confirm the official cause of the fire at the time, but WZMQ 19 is awaiting further details. This story will be updated once more information becomes available.
