MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – However you enjoy your fireworks, what comes out of your wallet is likely a deciding factor.
For some vendors this year, including Spread Eagle Fireworks of Wisconsin, holding tents in Gwinn, Marquette, and Escanaba; certain prices have steadily seen an increase, mostly noticeable in its larger packs.
“The bigger items like our mortars, artillery shells, and finale racks have gone up a little bit in the past few years,” explained vendor Jordyn Kriegl. “They sit around the $290-$300 mark which is still fairly average.”
For the 250th celebration, this summer’s demand has been higher than the average celebration of independence. A counter to these prices has been made up in the company’s 2-for-1 offer, saving its customers plenty for double the show.
“You get a good amount of product with the deal, which is awesome,” said Kriegl. “It’s been fun to see people even pooling together to put on a good show for their community.”
