MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A long-time U.P. furniture and mattress company has officially opened a Marquette location.
Gartner’s Gallery has served customers around the Copper Country for over a century. Two brothers have recently purchased the company after 15 years of business through their parents, soft-opening their new Marquette location at 4250 US-41 last fall.
After cutting the ceremonial ribbon on Thursday, the store is holding a grand opening sale on a selection of its items, including 15% off store-wide through next week. Co-owner Jordan Johnson says its been a long time coming to serve more of the Upper Peninsula.
“We’ve been looking to come to the Marquette area for a while, we’ve had a lot of customers that have shopped with us from Marquette,” he said. “We’re just ecstatic to be here, and looking forward to serving everybody who needs furniture and mattresses.”
The store also offers free deliveries throughout Marquette County, and more opportunities to shop online.
