ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – Rainy skies couldn’t keep people away from the opening day of an annual summer concert series in Escanaba.
Lunch on Ludington takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. every Wednesday through August 5. Community members are encouraged to bring their lunches to the Downtown Marketplace to enjoy live performances by different local artists each week.
The event has become a popular way for people to reconnect in the summertime while supporting U.P. musicians.
“The idea is to take a break in the middle of our day, just listen to some music, gather with people in the downtown,” said Escanaba DDA Director Craig Woerpel. “Especially now with all the construction, it’s important to take that break and just relax for a little bit.”
