ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Friday, January 30, the Escanaba Water Department will be replacing a water main break, causing temporary water service disruptions.

Work will affect residents in the following areas:

  • 200 Block Ogden Avenue
  • 222 and 307 South 3rd Street
  • 300, 400, 500, and 600 Blocks of 2nd Avenue South
  • 220 South 4th Street
  • 210, 216, 218, and 300 South 5th Street
  • 215 South 6th Street
  • 300, 400, 500, and 600 Blocks of Ogden Avenue
  • 300 and 400 blocks South 5th Street
  • 300, 400, and 500 Blocks of South 6th Street
  • 4th Avenue South from Ogden to South 7th Street

Once water is restored, a boil advisory will be in effect until lab results prove the water is safe for consumption. If all goes as planned, a notification for normal water usage should be provided two or three days after the disruption.

Anyone with questions or concerns is encouraged to contact the Water Department at (906) 786-3291.
