ESCANAB, Mich. (WZMQ) – A road is temporarily closed in Escanaba due to flooding.
Residents are advised to avoid the area of 12th Avenue North through 14th Avenue North off of 19th Street, in front of the Webster Kindergarten Center, due to significant flooding. As of Friday morning, there was approximately 10 inches of standing water on the roadway, creating hazardous driving conditions.
For public safety, motorists and pedestrians are advised to avoid the area until further notice and to use alternative routes. Public Works crews are aware of the situation and are monitoring conditions. Updates will be provided as conditions change.
