MARQUETTE, Mich. – Travel Marquette hosted its Inaugural ‘Event Event’ on Wednesday night at the Ore Dock Brewing Company.
The night served as a celebration to recognize local organizations in the area that receive support through Travel Marquette’s community sponsorship program. The night also served as a preview for upcoming events taking place in Marquette County for 2026.
Travel Marquette CEO Susan Estler expressed her appreciation and gratitude for the community and its support at each event. “Well we certainly appreciate the events and the amount of volunteers that it takes to put on all of these different events that we have,” said Estler. “We’re not just a summer destination, Marquette is a year-round destitnation.”
Estler also mentioned that all of the funds raised for sponsoring these various events that take place yearly comes from local hotel assessments that visitors of Marquette pay. According to Estler, the sponsorship funds total to nearly 60,000 dollars.
