GWINN, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter (UPAWS) has announced its ‘Home for the Holidays’ feline adoption event.
From Thursday, December 18 through Sunday, December 21 the shelter is offering reduced fees on all cats in its facility.
Cats ages 1-7 are available for $25, senior cats are free of charge, and one kitten can be adopted at full price with a buddy for half price. UPAWS staff says with a full kennel, it’s the perfect time of year to bring home a furry friend.
“We’re very full right now with kitty cats,” said UPAWS Outreach Coordinator, Ann Brownell. “They bring a lot of joy, whether you’re feeling lonely or even if you’re not, its just a nice company to have in your home.”
