ST. IGNACE, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Monday, the Mackinac Bridge was closed to traffic for a little over an hour.
The Michigan Department of Transportation announced the closure around 8:45 p.m. Just after 10 p.m., the Bridge Authority announced that the bridge had reopened.
WZMQ 19 has reached out to the Mackinac Bridge Authority for an update on the cause of the closure. We will provide an update if more information becomes available.
