ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – Last week, a fire broke out at a manufacturing facility in Escanaba. Now, the community is rallying around its employees.
Police are still investigating the cause of the fire that occurred at Race Ramps on October 23. Although no Race Ramps employees were injured, the fire destroyed much of the building, leaving them without work.
Kindness Rocks U.P. has launched a GoFundMe to raise money for Race Ramps employees. The goal is to raise $5,000. The community donated just under $2,000 in three days.
All the money raised will be added to a staff fund being created at Great Lakes Federal Credit Union. Click here to donate.
