MANISTIQUE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Manistique’s Lake Effect Community Arts Center debuted a new exhibit over the weekend.

A Sense of Direction is a collaboration between three artists—Amber Dohrenwend, Ruby Andromeda Miller, and Emily Weddle. They combined their individual skill sets to put together a cohesive display, with mediums ranging from fiber art and sculpture to illustration and found art.

According to Lake Effect Community Arts Marketing Manager Katie Birdsley, the exhibit is an example of how artists from various backgrounds can inspire one another to create something unique.

“They started working together to encourage each other to motivate each other in their art,” Birdsley said. “What happened was they ended up creating this wonderful show out of it. We’re very excited to see what they bring and how it interacts with our space.”

A Sense of Direction is free to view now through July 12. The Lake Effect Community Arts Center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
