ALPENA COUNTY, Mich. (WZMQ) – An Alpena man has been arraigned on multiple felony charges following his arrest aboard a freighter passing through the Soo Locks.
34-year-old Dustin Haske was arraigned on June 5 in the 88th District Court in Alpena on charges including six counts of criminal sexual conduct in the 1st degree and two counts of criminal sexual conduct in the 3rd degree. His bond was set at $150,000. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 12.
The charges were issued following an investigation completed by the Michigan State Police (MSP) Alpena Post. On June 4, troopers from the MSP Sault Ste. Marie Post and the Seventh District Fugitive Team arrested Haske while he was working aboard the M/V Kaye E. Barker as the freighter passed through the Soo Locks.
