MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Upper Peninsula Children’s Museum, in partnership with Range Bank, opened a new exhibit on Tuesday.
The museum’s new financial literacy exhibit is designed to teach children about the fundamentals of banking. Fit with a teller station, vault, drive through, and learning kiosks, in a kid sized environment.
In the wake of online banking becoming more frequent, Range Bank’s Marketing Director Kim Erickson says they want to make sure a face-to-face banking experience remains a comfortable option.
“Financial literacy at a young age not only teaches about spending and saving, but also being comfortable with going into a bank; what a bank does and talking to a banker,” said Erickson. “Especially with the rise of online banking, still having that interaction with a personal banker.”
The exhibit is also interchangeable, and will be rearranged and updated throughout the year.
