DELTA COUNTY, Mich. (WZMQ) – A Gladstone man has been arrested following a multi-county investigation.

According to the Michigan State Police (MSP) Gladstone Post, warrants for 24-year-old Hunter Gallagher’s arrest had been issued by the Delta County Prosecutor after he was alleged to have committed several felonious offenses. The investigation, which began on April 6, 2025, revealed that Gallagher had allegedly committed multiple crimes within Delta County.

Gallagher fled to the Allegan County area in an attempt to avoid arrest. In response, the MSP Gladstone Post worked closely with troopers from the MSP Wayland Post to locate him. The collaborative efforts led to Gallagher’s location and arrest in Allegan County. During his arrest for the Delta County offenses, Gallagher committed additional offenses, resulting in further felony charges.

On April 9, Gallagher was arraigned in the Allegan 57th District Court on the following charges:

· Carrying Concealed Weapon

· Possession of Firearm by a Felon

· Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer

· Felony Firearm

A $50,000 dollar bond was set.

After his arraignment in Allegan County, Gallagher was transferred to Delta County. On April 14, he was arraigned in the 94th District Court in Escanaba on the following charges:

· Criminal Sexual Conduct 1st Degree

· Kidnapping

· Assault with Intent to Do Great Bodily Harm Less Than Murder

· Assault with a Dangerous Weapon

· Felony Firearm

Gallagher’s bond was set at $500,000 dollars with conditions. He is scheduled for a Preliminary Exam on May 1, 2025.

The MSP Gladstone Post was assisted by the Escanaba Public Safety Department, Delta County Sheriff’s Department, and MSP Wayland Post in the investigation and arrest.

MSP is continuing to work with law enforcement and prosecutors with these investigations and any related investigations. WZMQ 19 will update this story if more information becomes available.
