IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WZMQ) – Iron Mountain officials are investigating the cause of a restaurant fire on Tuesday, February 25.
At 2:48 a.m., the Iron Mountain Fire Department was dispatched to a possible structure fire at the Wendy’s at 800 South Stephenson Avenue. Crews arrived in less than four minutes and found smoke coming from the south side of the building.
Firefighters pulled multiple hose lines and established a water supply. After forcing entry into the restaurant, crews found fire in the kitchen area. They quickly extinguished the fire, then performed a thorough search of the structure to ensure no further fire conditions existed.
No emergency personnel or civilians were injured. The Iron Mountain Fire Department received assistance from the Iron Mountain Police and Public Works, DTE, the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department, and the Michigan State Police.
