HOUGHTON, Mich. (WZMQ) – Michigan Technological University’s Department of Public Safety and Police Services has located the body of a missing graduate student.
36-year-old Matthew Sisson was reported missing on February 14. On February 18, Michigan Tech Police informed the public that Sisson had been found dead. No foul play is suspected.
Police stated in a press release, “The Michigan Tech community’s thoughts are with Matthew’s family during this difficult time. The MTU Center for Student Mental Health and Well-being is available for students impacted by Matthew’s loss who may need support.”
MTU Public Safety and Police Services thanks the public for its help in the search. Out of respect for Sisson’s family, the department says it will not be making further comment.
