IRON COUNTY, Mich. (WZMQ) – A man and woman from Iron County, who were being investigated for several months, are facing charges for operating a meth lab.
On Wednesday, Jan. 22, the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) obtained information that one of the suspects was manufacturing meth and executed a search warrant at his home in Mastodon Township. During the search, detectives seized various chemicals and containers used to make meth, along with finished meth product.
Both suspects were lodged at the Iron County Jail. Their names are withheld pending arraignment.
Detectives from UPSET were assisted by the Iron County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, Michigan DNR, West Iron County Fire Department and Iron River Aspirus EMS.
