ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – A Delta County brewery brought the community together to celebrate Plaidurday in style.
Escanaba’s Upper Hand Brewery hosted its annual Plaidurday party Friday evening, with many of its fan-favorite beverages on tap. Attendees wore their best flannels to enjoy live music, food from the Brisket Barn, and s’mores by the bonfire.
While a large group of Yoopers were in attendance, the Plaidurday party even drew attendees visiting the Upper Peninsula from downstate.
“We wanted to see some colors, so we pick the first week in October every week to come to the U.P., whether it’s Copper Harbor, Munising, or Manistique,” said Scott Raymond, who lives in Central Michigan. “We’re staying in Manistique at Indian Lake, and my lovely wife said, ‘If we go up for the whole week, I’ll take you over to Escanaba to Upper Hand Brewery,’ because I love their beer.”
Raymond and his wife brought their dog, Millie, who wore her red Stormy Kromer for the occasion. Attendees said Upper Hand Brewery’s Plaidurday party was the perfect way to ring in the fall season.
