ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – A decades-long musical tradition returns to Escanaba this Saturday.
The Remnants Barbershop Chorus has been busy rehearsing for the annual Harvest of Harmony, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the old Escanaba Junior High School, located at 1500 Ludington Street.
The Remnants will be joined by three regional barbershop quartets—Vintage Mix, Just One More!!, and Coulee Classic—who have performed for audiences across the country.
The Remnants Chorus will sing songs ranging from traditional barbershop classics to hits by The Beatles. They hope to promote an appreciation for the barbershop style in attendees of all ages.
“We love giving back to the community, and this is what we do,” said Remnants historian Dan Zellar. “We perform these concerts, we also sing at public events. The Remnants Barbershop Chorus is a community service that people should be made more aware of.”
General admission tickets for the Harvest of Harmony are available for $20 at the Delta County Chamber of Commerce and Elmer’s County Market. For more information on the 2024 Harvest of Harmony, click here.
