TILDEN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZMQ) – A juvenile passenger received minor injuries after a man crashed their vehicle into a power pole in Tilden Township Sunday afternoon.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office says around 4:52 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash into a power pole on County Rd 581 near County Rd 482. There were downed power lines as a result of the crash.
A 33-year-old man driving the vehicle was no injured. His juvenile passenger had minor injuries. Speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
County Rd 581 between County Rd 482 and County Rd PPH was closed for several hours while crews repaired the downed wires.
The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Ishpeming Police Department, Ishpeming Township Fire Department, UP Health System- Bell, UPPCO, and Anttila’s Towing.
The crash remains under investigation.
