IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WZMQ) —At around 12:03 PM, the Iron Mountain Police & Fire Departments responded to a traffic crash on Stevenson Avenue (US-2) and Ludington Street.
According to witnesses, the driver appeared unconscious before the vehicle moved forward onto the curb, striking three concrete flower pots along the sidewalk. The vehicle continued down the sidewalk from Ludington Street to Brown Street, where it hit a fire hydrant and a building at the corner of Stevenson Avenue and Brown Street.
It was later reported that a medical condition contributed to the crash. The driver was transported to Marshfield Medical Center, Dickinson Hospital by Integrity Care EMS and was listed in stable condition.
The Iron Mountain Police and Fire Departments were assisted by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Department, Integrity Care EMS, and the Iron Mountain Department of Public Works.
