MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Tervo Agency held its new location’s ribbon cutting on Thursday.
This insurance company is an Upper Peninsula-based agency with the other location being in Hancock.
Tervo Agency specializes in personal line and commercial insurance. Although its locations are in Marquette and Houghton, members of other communities can also use Tervo Agency. The Marquette Tervo Agency owner, Ryan Riipi, was born and raised in Marquette, which is one of the reasons he felt opening the location in Marquette is so important.
“It’s giving customers a new opportunity to shop other insurances and stay local,” said Ryan Riipi, Tervo Agency Owner.
The process of finding, updating, and setting up the new location took over a year to complete. One of the biggest obstacles was how outdated the building was and how many repairs needed to be made.
