MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Hiawatha Music Co-op hosted a pre-festival concert at Ore Dock Brewery on Thursday. The Union Suits performed a range of music from David Bowie to the Beatles.
The Hiawatha Festival is a three-day festival with live music, activities, camping, and food tickets will be on sale at the gate or online. This event is located at Tourist Park and is from July 19-21. With a selection of folk, traditional, bluegrass, and more there is a style for everyone, even late-night campfire jams.
“All weekend long afterward they have campfire jams late into the night, they have people gathered around and you get to jam with a lot of different musicians all weekend long,” said Mark Hamari, Union Suits member.
Organizers need volunteers who will receive entry during shift as well as a free t-shirt. For more information, go to the Hiawatha Festival website.
